Pitch:
Title: The
Masked Ones
Genre: The
genre that we have chosen to do is a horror because it is easier to capture a
dark atmosphere, with it being winter. Also we are able to build tension using
certain shots such as close ups and long shots. The audience will be
anticipated from the start and they will already feel empathy for the victim.
They will feel nervous as to whether the victim is going to get a way or not
and we will be able to leave them on a cliff hanger with this.
Form: The form is a 2 minute film opening/
credits which is able to give the audience enough information about people
getting killed.
Location: Isolated
Field
Time: Just
as its getting light in the morning(dawn) this is because the dark weather will
foreshadow that something bad is going to happen.
Characters: 3
masked one and the victim
Plot outline: The
story revolves both around the masked ones and the victims. It cross cuts
constantly in order to show the audience the struggles of the victims and the
endless murders and tormenting of the masked ones. No one knows why the victim
has gone missing yet everyone is constantly reminded of the story of the masked
ones. No one ever goes out in the night or before the sun rises in the morning
and if they dare to everyone knows that they will probably get slaughtered
barbarically. The film will include many
grim murders and the victim continuously tries to escape. In the end the victim
ends up escaping yet she comes face to face with more murderers out to get her.
•The
film opens with the victims feet running quickly, the sound of her feet against
the ground is heard loudly.
•It
then proceeds to showing the setting of the field and this depicts the time and
setting.
•The
masked ones silhouettes are seen from far away making the audience feel
anticipated as it is unclear who they are.
•It
then carries on to show the victim running through the field.
•The
masked ones are revealed.
•When
there are shots of the setting and whilst this happens the credits are shown.
•The
title rolls when the victim gets to a dead end and the audience are now aware
that she can’t escape.
